Pay Your Meal Balance Online
Stillwater Public Schools Child Nutrition Department is excited to provide a convenient, easy and secure online prepayment service to deposit money into your child’s school meal account at any time. This service also provides the ability to view your child’s account balance and view your child's purchase history. There will be a fee of $1.75 per deposit transaction. Parents placing money into accounts for more than one child will only be assessed the $1.75 fee once per deposit transaction. Stillwater Public Schools will not profit from the use of this site.
If you choose not to use the online prepayment service you may continue to make advance payments via cash or check at your child’s school cafeteria. Because checks are more secure and can be tracked, they are preferable to cash. Please make checks payable to Stillwater Public Schools and include your child’s full name on the check.

If you have any questions about these new services, please feel free to contact the child nutrition office at 405-533-6445.

A Message from the Superintendent

Welcome to Stillwater Public Schools!

The federal legislation, No Child Left Behind (NCLB), requires our students to meet certain benchmarks, or achievement levels, each year. All 3rd-high school students who took the tests last spring received their individual results this fall. The individual reports are compiled into site and district reports. It is exciting to note that when the Oklahoma State Department of Education released the final test scores this past fall, Stillwater Public Schools met all of the federal benchmarks-both as a district and at every school site. This is a huge achievement and our students and staff are to be commended for their hard work last year.

Oklahoma uses the Academic Performance Index (API) for school and district accountability. There are seven indicators used to compute our API:

  • Reading/language arts and math results from state-mandated tests
  • Attendance, dropout and graduation rates
  • ACT scores and percentage of students participating, Advanced Placement credit, and college remediation rates in reading and math

Our schools and the district exceeded all of the state API benchmarks. The district’s results are listed below (updated 10/8/09):

State Target

SPS API

Math API-932

Math API-1413

Reading API-914

Reading API-1437

Graduation rate-67.8%

Graduation rate-79.8%

Attendance rate-91.2%

Attendance rate-94.7%

Our district API is 1388, on a scale of 0 to 1500. Our individual schools’ API scores range from 1253 to 1452. My goal is to see our schools reach the perfect API of 1500 which is very achievable due to our excellent students and staff. Is this a lofty goal? Yes! Can we do it? Yes!

As you can see from the chart, our students are doing well. We are very proud of the accomplishments of our students and staff, but we will not stop here. Working together, we will continue to improve. Make it an awesome month!
